Creating an Internal Department-Wide Professional Development Conference

The University of Central Florida’s Division of Digital Learning established a Professional Development Committee to promote a culture of learning and provide opportunities for staff to participate in skill or career development sessions at work while keeping a work/life balance. The newest and largest project the committee has undertaken was to host an internal conference for all department staff that showcased employees by presenting sessions based on their expertise or interest. This session will look at how the committee planned and provided a unique opportunity for department staff to be able to learn, collaborate, and share their knowledge and interests with others.
