One Step at a Time: Building an Online Student Success Plan Starts with a Vision

The University of Alabama Online Student Success team started with three team members and a dream to improve the experience of online degree-seeking students at UA. Creating a comprehensive, student-centered plan for online student success continues to take time, patience, and a lot of “failing forward” but at its core is a three-fold vision that goes into every decision that is made.  This vision, based on the mission and strategic priorities of our institution, permeates our efforts even today and served as a guide to us as we created an action plan and communication calendar and built a team focused on one goal: the success and retention of online learners at The University of Alabama.
