Patrick Guilbaud

I currently serve as Director of Extended Education & Summer School and Associate Professor at Winthrop University. In that role, I lead the development and rollout of tailored academic and training programs to serve adult learners and working professionals in the Upper Palmetto region of the state of South Carolina and beyond. In addition, I teach graduate and undergraduate courses at the University in the areas of Career Development, International Business Management, Learning Design & Technology, and Project Management. My research and scholarship activities examine the ways in which pedagogically grounded learning experiences along with advanced technology can be used to strengthen the participation of adult learners in post-secondary education. I am particularly focused on improving access and persistence of underrepresented learners in post-secondary education and STEM-related career. I hold a PhD in Learning Design & Technology, a MBA and Master Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and a BSBA from the University of Florida.
