Five Types of Membership:
Institutional
An institutional membership is open to institutions of higher learning that have programming or administrative units responsible for continuing higher education activities. The institution must hold current regional accreditation or the international counterpart. An institutional member can name as many representatives as it wishes. One of the representatives is designed to cast its vote on matters of the Constitution and Bylaws. All representatives will receive the ACHE publications, will have voting rights except on matters of Constitution and Bylaws, and may hold any office.

Pro-rated: $250 - Membership includes four institutional members, plus one complimentary CAO. Additional members may be added for $25 each per year.

Pro-rated: $500 - ACHE provides an institutional membership option providing membership for up to 40 continuing educators and/or graduate students in adult and continuing education from a single regionally accredited institution.
- with significant CE and/or DL offerings
- with students pursuing advanced degrees relating to adult and continuing education, distance education, and/or literacy
- placing strong emphasis on meeting the educational needs of students pursuing academic coursework, certificates, and degrees and the lifelong learning needs of their communities
Organizational
An organizational membership is open to non-higher education associations, organizations, and government agencies that have a major commitment to and affiliation with continuing higher education. An organizational member can name as many representatives as it wishes. One of the representatives is designated to cast its vote on matters of the Constitution and Bylaws. All representatives will receive the ACHE publications, will have voting rights except on matters of Constitution and Bylaws, and may hold any office.

- Pro-rated Dues - $250 This provides for listing two representatives in the online directory. Additional representatives may be listed for $25 each per year.
Professional
A professional membership is open to a person whose major commitment is in the area of continuing education. This membership is not transferable. A professional member receives ACHE publications, has voting rights except on matters of Constitution and Bylaws, and may hold any office.

Student
A student membership is open to any full or part-time student pursuing a graduate degree in a field related to higher education. The student must have an advisor's signature on the application for student membership. A student membership is renewable annually for up to three years. This member has online access to ACHE publications and has voting rights except on matters of Constitution and Bylaws. A student member may not hold office.

Retiree
A retiree membership is open to any former ACHE member upon his or her retirement. This member has online access to ACHE publications and has voting rights except on matters of Constitution and Bylaws. A retiree member may not hold office.
