Institutional - Membership Application

An institutional membership is open to institutions of higher learning that have programming or administrative units responsible for continuing higher education activities. The institution must hold current regional accreditation or the international counterpart. Other criteria for membership include:

  • having significant continuing education and/or distance learning offerings
  • having students pursuing advanced degrees relating to adult and continuing education, distance education, and/or literacy
  • placing strong emphasis on meeting the educational needs of students pursuing academic coursework, certificates, and degrees and the lifelong learning needs of their communities

Membership

An Institutional Membership includes seven institutional member listings. Additional members may be added for $25 each per year.

Voting

  • Constitution and Bylaws: One of the institution's members, usually the institutional representative, is designated to cast the institution's vote on matters of the Constitution and Bylaws.
  • Elections: All institutional members can vote in annual national or regional elections.

Leadership

All institutional members are eligible to hold regional and national office.

Publications

All institutional members will receive ACHE publications.

Dues Options:

  1. Regular Institutional Membership: $525 - Membership includes seven institutional members. Additional members may be added for $25 each per year.

  2. Jumbo Institutional Membership: $1,000 - ACHE provides an institutional membership option providing membership for up to 40 continuing educators and/or graduate students in adult and continuing education from a single regionally accredited institution.

Organizational - Membership Application

An organizational membership is open to non-higher education associations, organizations, and government agencies that have a major commitment to and affiliation with continuing higher education.

Professional - Membership Application

A professional membership is open to a person whose major commitment is in the area of continuing education. This membership is not transferable. A professional member receives ACHE publications, has voting rights except on matters of Constitution and Bylaws, and may hold any office.

  • Membership Dues - $90

Student - Membership Application

A student membership is open to any full or part-time student pursuing a graduate degree in a field related to higher education. A student applicant must also submit an advisor's signature page with his or her application. A student membership is renewable annually for up to three years. This member has online access to ACHE publications and has voting rights except on matters of Constitution and Bylaws. A student member may not hold office.

  • Membership Dues - $25

Retiree - Membership Application

A retiree membership is open to any former ACHE member upon his or her retirement. This member has online access to ACHE publications and has voting rights except on matters of Constitution and Bylaws. A retiree member may not hold office.

  • Membership 2012 Dues - $25
